The audience of the 49th International Tournament MANSION Polo, which every summer organizes the Santa Maria Polo Club of Sotogrande, has been able to enjoy this Wednesday a double day of the Isolas 1892 Silver Cup handicap 4-6. The teams of Eagles and Fray Guen Indi managed to score after winning their respective games. Tomorrow, Thursday, the Silver Cup returns at handicap level 12-14.
In the first match of the afternoon, the Águilas team, made up of Ricardo Blanco, Mario Bianconi, Ezequiel Zubiaurre and Jorge Pepa, defeated Isolas by 9 goals to 6. It was a tight match in which both teams kept up with each other during the first chukkers, but in which Aguilas consolidated their advantage over Isolas, with Alicia and Daniel Gariador, Estanislao Grahn and Lawrence Isola, from the third half onwards keeping it up until the end.
For their part, the team of Fray Guen Indi, with Pablo Mora-Figueroa, Cesar Miño, Segundo F. Llorente and Kaveh Atrak beat Biarritz- Arte del Vino by 12 goals to 8. Both teams fought from the beginning of the match, but Fray Guen Indi’s team knew how to maintain their advantage until the end. The competition at this level resumes next Friday, with the match between Águilas and Fray Guen Indi from 19:00 at court II of Los Pinos.
Second Day of the 1892 Silver Cup handicap
Thursday afternoon will be starring by the teams of Mansion-LaLigaSports and Schaetzies, who will meet in a new match of the Isolas 1892 Silver Cup handicap 12-14, from 19:00 on the field III of Los Pinos. And as the Tournament is much more than sport, for tomorrow is also scheduled live performance of the group from Jerez ‘Gallagher vs Cobos’ who will play versions of yesterday and today. Also, the children of the house will be able to have fun in the attractions of the Kids Area.
During and after the game the public will have at their disposal the shopping area of the Shopping Village, with fashion brands and accessories for everyone. Also, between courts three and four a restaurant area has been installed with terraces to have a snack while enjoying the game in total tranquility. This year, the Santa María Polo Club has reinforced its safety and hygiene measures to guarantee a safe environment to enjoy the summer. In accordance with the regulations, the use of a mask is compulsory throughout the venue.
